A T Mann is giving a lecture and workshop in Scottsdale January 20-21, 2012
FRIDAY LECTURE,
Family Systems and Life Time Astrology
The events and psychological developments of our life unfold in sequence around the horoscope circle, but they actually begin at conception, when your mother and father make love to conceive you and are embedded during gestation. Your early parental relationships and the family system into which you are born are primary factors in your personality and essential being. Each planet can be identified with those people around you, beginning with the Sun as your father, and the Moon as your mother. Discover the dynamics of your early family life in the horoscope using a unique time scale.
SATURDAY WORKSHOP, 1:30 – 4:30. Admission is $10 for members, $15 for non-members.
Astrology and the Art of Healing
"Astrology and the Art of Healing" approaches healing and astrology in a new and revolutionary way. Conventional medicine treats symptoms with surgery and drugs rather than healing the root causes of illness. Complementary therapies attempt to address the whole self, which can raise awareness of and even counteract the imbalances that create disease. This workshop attempts to relate inner causes with our "four bodies" in order to affect healing. Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual therapies relate to stages of your life process, from conception through birth, and from childhood to old age and death. Many horoscopes show how to understand the origins of health imbalances in your life, but correlations to appropriate therapies can support the expertise of your doctors. Learn how to integrate these two streams of information for your ultimate well-being.

An architecture graduate of Cornell University and an astrologer since 1972, Tad is author of eight astrology books including “The Round Art” and “A New Vision of Astrology.” His revolutionary astrological ideas link astrology with biology, the new physics, esoteric spirituality, eastern religion, psychology and myth. From this rich, energetic network of philosophies, perspectives, and possibilities, a system emerges that redefines experiential time in life by using a unique logarithmic time scale that dates events from before conception to old age and beyond.
Tad has served on the NCGR Board, and was designer and editor of the new NCGR Research Journal. Currently, he is a member of the organizing board of UAC2012, due to be held in New Orleans next May. He’ll soon begin directing a two year research experiment and documentary in collaboration with the Dalai Lama’s foundation to explore meditation and neuroscience and The Art and Science of Happiness. The project will also comprise a 90 minute documentary and two TV programs.
His latest books are: “The Mandala Astrological Tarot” (reprint 2009), “Sacred Landscapes” (with photographer Lynn Davis 2010), The Language of the Sacred Trees (Summer 2012), and the 2012 ATMann Mandala Calendar.
Tad will be available for appointments and classes Sunday through Wednesday following our January program. Please schedule with him at atmann@atmann.net.

Astrological Reincarnation:
The Foundation of Psychological AstrologyReincarnation describes the spiritual history of the soul and is the source within us of the gods and goddesses and our historical antecedents and our past lives – the archetypes of the collective unconscious. The origin of psychological astrology may be explained through the astrological Reincarnation Time Scale, which allows past incarnations to be dated and your soul’s path to be charted from the natal horoscope.
Case histories of famous and creative people show that our past incarnations may be used in the eternal present as a foundation of creativity and psychological understanding — they are the archetypes, or gods and goddesses in our lives. Meet aspects of your lower and higher self in time. (The Divine Plot: Astrology and Reincarnation was published in 1986 & 1991; Elements of Reincarnation was published in 1995; also material from an unpublished manuscript, The Eternal Return.)SATURDAY WORKSHOP, January 14, 1 – 5:00 p.m. $20 members, $25 visitors
Astrological Reincarnation Workshop — Clarifying Our Karma
In the workshop, the events and influences in our life can be traced back to previous times in history when we incarnated the qualities of each planet we carry now. For example, the sign of our moon shows when and how in history our emotional reality was formed. We bring these time traces into the present time and attempt to integrate them into a coherent whole, whether unconsciously or with intention. The horoscope therefore shows our present life against our former lives. We are even determining our next cycle of incarnations by our life action now!
A table allowing you to date your planetary incarnations will be given to all participants to the weekend workshop. Bring your horoscope and those of friends and family members. Knowledge of astrology is not necessary.@ UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH,

Astrology and the Akashic RecordWhen the Theosophists, Rudolf Steiner, Edgar Cayce and others described the Akashic Record as the source of their foresight and wisdom, they implied access to another dimension of existence or Universal Mind that contained information about our individual and collective past and future. When we correlate the spiral movement of the solar system in time with the heliacal structure of the DNA molecule, it becomes easy to see that we all contain all the information of the Akashic Record, in every cell in our body. "Astrology, Mythos and Spirit: Bridging East and West"
Prof. Robert Thurman, A. T. Mann, Jhampa Kalsang, Komilla Sutton, Jhampa Shaneman, Alexander Mallon
Sept 17-20 2009
Menla Mountain Retreat Center, Phoenicia, NY (near Woodstock)
This unique and fascinating astrology conference will bring Robert Thurman (Professor of Indo-Tibetan Studies at Columbia University and President of Tibet House U.S.) together with stellar Eastern and Western astrologers to discuss a variety of topics relating to cross-cultural astrology (specifically Tibetan and Western) as well as the relationship between astrology, mythos, and spirituality. Tibetan astrology in itself brings together four different astrological traditions, and it is essential to their medical tradition. Western astrology, while not considered a hard science, has had a profound role to play in the western psyche throughout the ages. Each astrologer will give an introductory presentation on his or her specific area of expertise, followed by a series of panel discussions led by a moderator, classes taught by individual panelists or in pairs, as well as question and answer sessions with the participants.

Essential Knowledge About Gestation
Thursday, Aug. 20, 5:00 PM — 6:15 PM
We tend to ignore the fact that our life begins at Conception. During Gestation we are imprinted with our genetic inheritance and reincarnation histories while inside our mother. From here the events and psychological developments of our life unfold in sequence around the horoscope circle from conception to old age. Learn how to decode these earliest important influences in the horoscope as they directly affect your creativity, sexuality and relationships for the rest of your life. Available from me as a CD.

The Mystery of Time in Astrology
Saturday, Aug. 22, 11:30 AM — 12:45 PM
Time constrains us to certain ultimate rules that govern our life. Our life in time begins at conception; however our time sense changes as we age according to a precise and knowable pattern and mathematics. Our fundamental ideas about time are often incorrect and perpetuate the wounds we carry. In attempting to heal these wounds inflicted by time, we may discover the path which leads beyond time. But first, understand for the time of your life. Available from me as a CD.

The natal chart shows times early in life when critical health problems originate. It also provides clues to their re-balancing. The idea of LifeTime Astrology is that we can discover and work with influences that originate from your conception and gestation. We then use psychotherapy and other emotional or physical therapies to effect centering and healing. LifeTime Astrology enables an astrologer to recommend therapies for work on deep–seated life issues and their resultant problems by using a Wheel of Therapies that correlates healing mechanisms with stages of your life process. (Astrology and the Art of Healing was published in 1988 and is available through Paraview Editions.)

My seminar is Tuesday evening, March 24th:
“Sacred Symbolic Architecture:
Time, Orientation and Meditation.”
World sacred sites and architecture utilize symbolism inherent in geometry, plus the dynamics of time. Thus orientation, proportion and flow are keys for the siting, shape, ecology and design of sacred places, including whole cities. Tibetan Buddhist deity meditations are guided imageries that invoke realms of the sacred mandala that are cosmoses and worlds and are profoundly architectural in their mechanism and intent. Explore various inner components of design education.
The Forum for Architecture, Culture and Spirituality is an international scholarly environment established in 2007 to support architectural and interdisciplinary scholarship, research, practice, and education on the significance, experience and meaning of the built environment. For more information on ACS, see our website.
This meeting offers the opportunity for the ACS community to share, discuss, and explore practices, pedagogies, and studies within the multifarious subject areas of architecture, culture and spirituality. We envision that the intimate size of this gathering (25 participants) will result in focused, engaging, and joyful discussions in an environment conducive to inspiring communication, learning and insight. The intention is to foster a different type of atmosphere than traditional conferences typically offer.

Tibetan Buddhism and Western Astrology
The core concepts of Tibetan Buddhism such as impermanence, emptiness and samsara are extremely relevant to Western astrological practice and philosophy of wanting to help others. Concepts such as emptiness, impermanence, dharma and "afflictive emotions" teach us much about how we live our lives and can be experienced through the horoscope. A. T. Mann edited the text of the DVD of the Dalai Lama’s "Kalachakra Tantra Teachings," which is the most astrological of the higher initiations of Tibetan Buddhism. Learn how to begin to integrate Tibetan Buddhist principles into your astrology and your life.
Monday, May 19th, 04:30 PM – 5:45 PM: Session 16
Astrology, Geometry and Your Healing Environment
Sacred space incorporates astronomical, mythic and geometric patterns, reflecting ancient traditions rooted in Cosmos. The sacred images and proportions carry cosmic principles that heal us at home. Lifetime and psyche synchronize planetary rhythms and geometries. Geometry and number are the primary source of magical thought, linking humanity to cosmos. Learn how to bring planetary energies into your world to promote healing and integration. An illustrated talk.

Teaching in Bali for nine days of masterful tarot and astrology teaching
with A T Mann and Juliet Sharman-Burke
Astrology in Bali, November 14—23, 2007
Juliet Sharman-Burke (creator of the Mythic Tarot with Liz Greene) and Tad Mann (creator of the Mandala Astrological Tarot) are experts in tarot and astrology, both having studied, written and taught extensively on the subjects for many years. They have each created and produced their own unique tarot decks, as well as being published authors of astrology and tarot books. They are highly respected among their peers and students.
There will be a wonderful depth and richness from having two very different, yet complementary perspectives available to the group. They will teach individually and at times together. The workshops will include mythological and historical studies, meditations, guided imagery and other psychological work, astrological referencing and background, and work with various techniques for using the tarot as well as creating your own tarot deck by the authors who have created theirs.
The 2007 "Astrology in Bali"
Tour of Borobudur, Java
November 24th-25th was very successful indeed!
A T Mann guided a group of 35 on an exclusive tour of the great 9th century Buddhist temples of Borobudur in the mountains of Java, Indonesia. The architecture of the temples is a mandala, a contemplative image of wholeness, into which we will journey. Within sight of two ancient volcanoes, this area is astoundingly beautiful. You will be shown the architectural and spiritual significance of this complex of temples by A T Mann, an architect, astrologer and feng shui expert.
See my website for the photos I took in Java and Bali

The Mandala Astrological Tarot

A T Mann's "Mandala Astrological Tarot" cards were originally painted in 1972, and repainted for publication in 1986. They are circular mandala images within square cards. The cards may be rotated and placed on either of the four astrological angles: upright (MC), upside down (IC), leaning left (ASC) and leaning right (DSC). Each card is a stage-set or initiation chamber for a level in the process of achieving wholeness. All colors are coded magically and the images are derived from traditional medieval, Egyptian, Rosicrucian and other mystical languages.

"The Spirit of Space: Astrology and Design"
The foundations of Feng Shui, lost in the distant past, are rooted in a Chinese Taoist philosophy that celebrates spiritual energy at work in nature. The Spirit of Space is a rediscovery of the primary art of humanity's harmony with nature. This deep logic of working harmoniously with space and movement exists within our astrological world view. Correct use of these principles promotes better health, more beautiful spaces in which to live and work, and a greater degree of inner peace and wealth. This work will not only harmonize your working and living spaces, but also will lead to improved health, wealth and well being.
Chinese Feng Shui principles and devices are often effective due to the improved intention they bring to our awareness. A twelve-sided astrological code identifies the basic mechanisms of movement in space, formulates their dynamics, and transforms these principles into good design. We will create a new way of working with our living, work and play space so that we re-discover the cosmic alignments of "The Spirit of Space."

The core of sacred architecture is the relationship between cosmos and individual, a relationship that is essential for us to re-establish in our architecture today.
